Kokoda Historical are helping to Light Up the Kokoda Track helping to sponsor an initiative driven by the

Kokoda Track Foundation distributing solar lights to communities along and around the Kokoda Track.

In 2012, the Kokoda Track Foundation is Lighting Up The Track by distributing 3,500 solar lights to communities along and around the Track. Each light costs $10 (AUD) to purchase, ship, and hand-deliver to the villagers (either by foot, plane, truck or dinghy).

Kokoda Historical have sponsored the Sanananda community who have received over 100 solar powered lights. Kokoda Historical has a long association with the village of Sanananda being one of the first Kokoda trekking companies to operate tours to this area.
